Designing Department

The technical dictionary states that “flooring” is a “technical element belonging to the floor class as in the sense of a functional breakdown of technological units, a lower closure and a horizontal internal partition”. In coherence with the present approach to the problems associated with building quality, one must, when developing this technical element, consider “needs and performance”.
MOMBRINI has increasingly carried out a needs analysis of factories in the food sector, as well as others, in relation to the complex of activities which are carried out there, thereby determining a series of needs:

  • reliability
  • asepticity
  • the absence of emissions of harmful substances
  • awareness of plant integration
  • the observation of sanitary and hygiene regulations
  • condensation control
  • heat dispersion control
  • noise insulation
  • heat insulation
  • ease of maintenance
  • mechanical resistance of any kind
  • ease of cleaning
  • resistance to corrosive substances

The satisfaction of these needs is translated into “the behaviour of the technical element in determined conditions of use and stress” i.e. in terms of performance. In simple terms this idea can be summarised by saying that, in order for a floor to resist and last over time, it must have well defined characteristics.
MOMBRINI’s technical study tries to ensure that many elegant words lead to the correct designing of the floor, drains and discharge diagrams thereby giving the client a complete service.

Use of sandwich panels

In the event of use of sandwich panels, as dividing and/or perimetrical walls, there are 3 positioning possibilities: the choice of the exact solution depends on the thermo-hygrometric conditions of the premises, on the scheme of the slopes and on the kind of skirting that will be used (only the solutions 1 and 2 permit the use of housing skirtings, whereas the solution 3 requires the use of supporting skirtings).
Our technicians are at your complete disposal to advise you the right choice.
